"A Health Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness authority who works with clients to help them feel their best through food and lifestyle changes. Instead of prescribing one diet or way of exercising, Health Coaches tailor individualized wellness programs to meet their clients' needs."
~ The Institute for Integrative Nutrition
What is a Health Coach and how can they help you?
A Health Coach is your dedicated partner in preventative health care. Their specialized training allows them to fill the gap between traditional medical professionals and patients. The current health care model in the U.S. tends to be focused on prescribing medications to cover up the symptoms of illness. According to the World Health Organization, 80% of chronic diseases (like heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and obesity) can be prevented. Health Coaches work with you to discover the root causes of your health concerns and implementing individualized methods to allow healing from the inside out. The foundation of optimal health is a nutritious, balanced diet.
Health Coaches use an Integrative and Holistic approach to Health Care. Meaningful connections with others, moving your body, doing fulfilling work, and finding a practice that aligns with your core values are all equally as important to your health and well-being as the food you eat. Health Coaches partner with you to take a look at all these different aspects of your life to determine what areas need special attention and nurturing. People are multi-dimensional and so are the aspects of their health and wellness.
